Swimming Lessons!
The Nuts and Bolts
Who can swim?
All children enrolled at Old MacDonald’s can participate, from 3 months old and up!
How much do lessons cost?
Individual lessons: $23.50 per lesson ($235 for the term)
1:1 lessons are available for children of all ages.
Small group lessons: $20 per lesson ($200 for the term)
For children aged 3 years and over, with a maximum of 2 children per group.
Where?
Right here at Old MacDonald’s, in our heated onsite pool.
Do I need to stay?
Nope! You don't need to be present for your child's lesson. We'll allocate your child a weekly swimming time and let you know when it's time to pack their togs.
What do we need?
Togs, a clean towel and swim nappies if your child is still in nappies. Goggles are optional.
What if my child is away?
Missed lessons due to absence or illness are still charged. Where possible, we'll always do our best to provide a make-up lesson, but these can't be guaranteed.
If a lesson is missed due to the swimming instructor being absent, we will either arrange a make-up session or credit the missed lesson back to your account if a make-up session isn’t possible.
Is the pool warm?
Absolutely. Our pool is maintained at a minimum of 28°C for children over 3 and 30°C for children under 3.
What if my child doesn't want to swim?
We never force a child to participate. Our swimming kaiako will build trust and confidence with each child, supporting them at their own pace. If your child is consistently unwilling to join, we’ll chat with you about next steps!
When do I need to pay?
Swimming fees are billed at the beginning of each term, with installment options available if needed (please let us know!).
Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-in, first-served basis, so get in quick if you'd like your child to swim with us this term!
